On the morning of my return to Taiwan, I had some free time, so I decided to visit the Taihu Scenic Area. Back in 1973, I trained at the Third Military Academy in Kinmen, when the Taihu Scenic Area was still underdeveloped, consisting only of the Banyan Garden. Many years had passed since my last visit, so I knew I had to come before returning to Taiwan. The Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Forest is located on the shore of Taihu Lake. Upon entering, you see a pond, courtyards, and a winding bridge connecting the pond. Though small in design, it is exquisitely beautiful. Behind the pond is an artificial forest. Since it wasn't a holiday, I was the only person in the entire forest. With tickets to Kinmen from Taiwan being hard to come by recently, there must be many tourists visiting Kinmen. The fact that I was the only person in the entire forest shows that most tourists don't stay in Kinmen, but are merely transiting through. How to encourage tourists to stay in Kinmen is a challenge and a challenge for the county government. (114.10.30)

I cycled around the park. Along the way, I passed several 3D art installations; you can check them out if you're interested. It's a great spot to watch the sunset if the weather is clear. I recommend bringing mosquito repellent in the summer.

The lakeside pavilions exude an antique charm, the bridge railings are elegant and winding, and the lake is dotted with floating lotus flowers. Parking is limited, and haphazard parking can easily cause traffic congestion! The scenery is beautiful, with abundant trees, making it a popular spot for local residents to stroll and exercise in the mornings and evenings. Entering from the main gate of the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Forest, you'll find a winding bridge across the lake. Crossing the bridge, you'll find a lakeside walking path, leading into a forest trail. In the mornings, you might encounter spiderwebs hanging between the trees – a testament to the pristine environment. Following this trail leads to the August 23rd War History Museum! Overall, the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Forest, though not large, is a wonderful example of an urban park, providing a place for residents to relax and for tourists to stop and take photos! When passing through, consider pausing for a moment to enjoy the gentle afternoon breeze.

The antique-style, exquisite and elegant garden feels like a perfect place to take photos while wearing a cheongsam or Hanfu.
