One of the major centers for Taiwanese wood carving art, it has a strong artistic atmosphere, and parking is now relatively convenient. There are about 200 wood carving specialty shops, although the number seems to be decreasing in recent years. Nearby are famous attractions such as the Taiwan Museum of Art, Sanyi Wood Carving Museum, Sanyi Wood Carving Art Museum, and Sanyi Old Street. The wood carving street also hides many delicious snack shops and Hakka restaurants. Famous Hakka restaurants such as Lai Hsin-Kui Noodle Shop, Jinbang Noodle Shop, and Ji Xiang Lou are all nearby, allowing you to enjoy traditional Hakka cuisine while admiring and purchasing wood carvings. Shengxing Station, Longteng Broken Bridge, and Liyutan Reservoir are also not far away, making it a perfect place to take your time and appreciate the art – truly a slow city. August 14, 2024.
