The temple dedicated to Sun Bin is quite unique. It has a solemn feel. The inscriptions on the plaques inside are very interesting, unlike those in other temples.

During this year's Lunar New Year holiday, my father specially brought my son and me—three generations of our family—to the Hongde Palace Sun Bin Temple in Yingge to offer prayers and pray for peace and health for the whole family in the new year. The feeling of three generations worshipping together was especially warm and meaningful. Visiting here for the first time was truly a delightful surprise! From the outside, you might mistake it for a small temple, but once inside, you'll find it unexpectedly spacious and deep! The entire hall has a very open feel, and the deities and the overall atmosphere are incredibly solemn, instantly instilling peace and reverence. Besides the solemn atmosphere, the best thing for us family worshippers is the temple's large, dedicated parking lot! During the busy Lunar New Year period, there was no need to worry about finding a parking space; we could park and go straight in to worship—convenience was off the charts. The overall environment is serene and solemn, with smooth traffic flow and easy parking. I highly recommend everyone to come here for a visit, to pay homage, and to find peace of mind! Five stars!

The temple you pass along the Sunlong and Yinggeshi trails isn't particularly old at first glance, but it's quite unique—this is Hongde Temple, dedicated to Sun Bin, the legendary military strategist from the Warring States period. To my knowledge, temples in Taiwan primarily dedicated to Sun Bin are extremely rare. After some research, I believe Hongde Temple might even be considered unique in Taiwan. Built in 1969, Hongde Temple is considered by many documents to be one of the earliest temples in Taiwan dedicated specifically to Sun Bin, making it a founding temple. In fact, most temples in Taiwan enshrine Sun Bin as a secondary deity, so calling Hongde Temple a unique founding temple is not an exaggeration. Hongde Temple is named for its promotion of martial virtue. The temple architecture is magnificent, with the main hall enshrining Sun Bin, exuding an imposing aura. Even more distinctive is the enormous statue of Sun Bin atop the roof of the rear hall, becoming a prominent landmark. The temple also enshrines deities such as the Jade Emperor, the Old Man Under the Moon (Yue Lao), and the God of Literature (Wenchang Dijun). Many believers come seeking wisdom, strategy, or career success, hoping to experience the wisdom of this legendary military strategist. I highly recommend it; encountering such a culturally rich and historically significant religious center while enjoying a spring outing is undoubtedly one of the most delightful and rewarding cultural experiences of your trip.

The only temple in Taiwan dedicated to Sun Bin, Hongde Temple (宏德宫) signifies the promotion of martial virtue. When driving into the temple, please note the temple's regulations: parking is limited to two hours. Upon leaving, please register your vehicle number and departure time inside the temple and obtain a token to insert into the gate before exiting. Nearby attractions include the Yinggeshi Trail, the Sunlong Trail, and the Chengtian Agricultural and Forestry Zen Temple viewing platform, offering visitors opportunities for leisurely strolls.
